Kareena Kapoor Khan confirmed today that she has tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Sunday, December 12, and she is currently in home quarantine.
Kareena close friend Amrita Arora too tested positive for COVID 19 . They both often hang out together. Recently, both Kareena and Amrita were partied with Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor and Amrita’s sister Malaika Arora in Mumbai.
According to sources she contracted the virus at a private dinner.
Despite Kareena Kapoor has been extremely cautious throughout the lockdown period, even advocating to have masks and sanitisers on her film sets or during ad shoots, She and here frient Amrita Arora contracted Covid-19 at an intimate dinner where a few friends had gathered to catch up.
The dinner she attended had only just a few people close to Bebo (Kareena Kapoor). But, there was one person in the group who seemed unwell and was coughing. This person should have been responsible enough to not attend the dinner and put others at risk. says reports

They further added that Kareena has immediately followed Covid protocols and guidelines. “As soon as she tested positive, she has quarantined herself and is following the necessary precautions and protocols to deal with the condition. It is not fair to put the blame on her and say that she has been irresponsible and has let her guards down. Kareena is a responsible citizen and also takes utmost care in safeguarding her family.”
Randhir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor’s father told IndiaToday.in that she is doing better and is at home with the kids, Taimur and Jeh. “She was tested positive yesterday. The doctor said it is very mild. She is feeling much better today. The kids are with her only. She is home quarantined,” he said.
Kareena Kapoor’s house has been sealed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials this morning (December 13). The BMC has asked people who have come in contact with Kareena and Amrita, to take the RTPCR test. About 15 close contacts of Kareena were tested today and their reports will come tomorrow morning.
