Today, On October 24, the two biggest stock exchanges in the world, the BSE and the NSE, will host a one-hour special Muhurat Trading session to mark the start of a new Samvat 2079, the Hindu calendar year that starts on Diwali.
The time period for the symbolic trading session was published by the stock exchanges in separate circulars as 6:15 to 7:15. Trading at the right time, or muhurat, is supposed to bring stakeholders wealth and financial success.
During the same time period, trading would occur in a variety of segments, including stock, commodities derivatives, currency derivatives, equity futures and options, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB).
Experts in commerce and the stock market claim that Indian stocks outperformed international markets in Samvat 2078 by a wide margin thanks to a robust economic recovery in that country and domestic liquidity that will counteract FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investors) withdrawals. This superior performance is anticipated to continue in Samvat 2079.
