Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will go down the history as the First Prime Minister of India and probably in the world to have hosted a meet, greet, anchor, and document his interaction with Olympic Medal winners and participants at his residence.

The interaction was documented and presented live across media channels. The Interesting aspect of the meet and greet was his Q&A with medal winners and participants. He anchored it to perfection.

The biggest message he gave to the attendees was Never Take Victory in your mind and loss into your heart.

PM to auction medal winners memorabilia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hosted the Olympic-returned Indian athletes for breakfast at his residence.

Indian athletes returned from Tokyo with a haul of seven medals, including javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra’s historic gold in track and field. It was the country’s best-ever show at the Olympics.

Apart from Chopra’s gold, India won two silver medals and four bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics. The silver medals came from weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya. The bronze medals were won by shuttler PV Sindhu, the men’s hockey team, boxer Lovlina Borgohain and wrestler Bajrang Punia.

Modi, who had applauded the Indian athletes’ tremendous show during the 75th Independence Day celebration at the Red Fort on Sunday, was seen talking to Chopra and bronze medallist PV Sindhu, who became only the second Indian and first woman to win two Olympic medals.

PM also requested all the sportsperson who gave them memorabilia to auction them, which they gladly agreed.
