On his 84th birthday, here’s a look at how Tata’s 2021 pandemic year looked like:

The year started on a happy note when the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Tata Group in the Tata-Mistry case. The ruling comes after years of protracted legal procedures, bitter accusations and counter-accusations and no-holds-barred mudslinging.

Once an avid Twitter user, Ratan Tata has become an Instagram-pro. From learning about #ThrowbackThursdays to sharing pet-friendly posts, the businessman last learnt the trick to break the internet.

Since his Insta debut in October-end 2019, the philanthropist has managed to garner over 5 million followers on the photo-sharing app.

Tata informed that he has managed to make quality connections through his digital community.

Ratan Tata was born in 1937 and his father’s name was Naval Tata who was adopted by Ratanji Tata — son of Jamsetji Tata, founder of the Tata group. It has been said that Naval Tata was biologically related to the Tata family as his biological maternal grandmother was the sister of Hirabai Tata, wife of Jamshedji Tata and his biological grandfather Hormusji Tata was a part of a more extensive Tata family.

Ratan Tata’s parents got separated in 1948 when he was just 10 years old. He was raised by his grandmother Navajbai Tata, wife of Ratanji Tata.
