[Aryan Khan] Can he come out clean?

SRK Son Aryan Khan was among the individuals who were caught during a drug raid on a cruise ship. While it is not yet sure about his presence an unverified video of Aryan Khan — the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan — has been circulated on social media after he became one of the eight individuals questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau following a raid at a party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai last night.

It was reported on October 2 that the NCB had conducted a surprise raid on a party being held on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. It was also speculated that a big Bollywood actor’s son was detained in this matter.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday at around 2pm after being interrogated over the cruise rave party that the agency raided on Saturday night. Aryan has been arrested under Section 8C, 20B, 27 read with 35 of the NDPS Act.

Early on Sunday, it was reported that Aryan Khan, along with seven others, was detained for interrogation. In the afternoon, it was confirmed that Aryan Khan was booked in connection with the rave party case from where 13 gm cocaine, 21 gm charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstacy), 5 gm MD, and ₹1.33 lakh in cash were recovered.

According to media, a senior official did reveal that Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was detained by NCB officials. So, is he in deep trouble or will he be let off without a deeper investigation, time will tell.

The video which is doing rounds a leaked one and cannot verified for its authenticity. Shah Rukh Khan and his lawyers have not yet commented on the video and nor has the police.

Earlier today, the drugs control agency had issued a statement saying Aryan Khan was among the eight people questioned in the case, who also included Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant.

A source close to the investigation revealed that Aryan was taken in for questioning, but there was probably no involvement in the possession of drugs. It is also being speculated that another Bollywood actor’s son has been detained in the same case. ETimes is yet to get a confirmation on that.

Yesterday night ANI confirmed the news on Twitter with a post that read, “Maharashtra: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained at least 10 persons during a raid conducted at a party being held on a cruise in Mumbai. Details awaited, says the agency.”

“All eight, including Aryan Khan, are being questioned. Based on their statements further action will be taken,” said the agency said.

The NCB had boarded the cruise ship disguised as passengers and conducted the raid once the ship sailed and the party started.

Drugs like Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and Charas were recovered from the party on board the ship, the agency said.

The NCB said it had raided the cruise as it had information that a rave party was going to be held at the cruise and some people associated with the film industry might be present. The NCB had information that drugs will be used at the party.

The raid went on for long and on Sunday morning it was reported that children of famous Bollywood personalities were present at the party. They were detained for questioning.

The name of Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, emerged later.

When Aryan Khan was detained along with Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant, officials said that it was only for interrogation and no charge was pressed against them.
