June 25, 2025: Now in India: Google AI Mode is the Most Advanced AI Search Tool for Complex Queries and Visual Questions

Key Benefits of Google AI ModeWant to Try It?

Google has officially rolled out AI Mode in India, its most advanced and interactive search experience yet, starting today in English via Google Labs.

Imagine being able to ask a complex or multi-layered question, like planning a family vacation or comparing gadgets—and getting a detailed, intelligent response instantly. That’s what AI Mode offers. Whether you type, speak, or snap a photo, Google’s new AI-powered tool helps you dive deeper into the web with smarter answers, helpful links, and real-time updates.

Built for Big, Complicated Questions

AI Mode is powered by Gemini 2.5, a custom AI model that handles long, detailed questions far better than traditional search. It’s already helping users in the U.S. explore more nuanced topics—like comparing laptops, creating custom workout plans, or finding child-friendly indoor games.

Thanks to advanced reasoning and a technique called “query fan-out,” Google AI Mode breaks your question into smaller parts, searching multiple angles simultaneously. The result? Deeper, more accurate answers with suggestions and links from across the web.

Example: “My kids are 4 and 7 and full of energy. Suggest creative ways to keep them active indoors on hot days.”

AI Mode doesn’t just list ideas,it recommends activities tailored to your space and budget, and even lets you follow up with more questions like, “What can they do independently?”

Beyond Text: Ask with Voice or Image

India leads the world in visual searches with Google Lens, and Google AI Mode is designed with this in mind. Now you can ask a question using your voice, or simply take or upload a photo.

For instance, if you receive a mystery plant as a gift, just snap a photo in the Google app and ask, “What plant is this and how do I take care of it?” AI Mode will identify the plant and give you step-by-step care tips, placement suggestions, and more.

Smarter Search, Better Results

AI Mode combines the power of Google Search with advanced AI reasoning, pulling information from high-quality web sources, the Knowledge Graph, shopping data, and more. You’ll receive up-to-date, trustworthy answers tailored to your query, and if the system doesn’t have enough confidence in an AI-generated response, it shows reliable web results instead.

This upgrade is part of Google’s broader mission to make search more intuitive and useful, especially for complex tasks. Over 1.5 billion users already use AI Overviews, and now with AI Mode, users can go even deeper.

Currently in Labs, Ready for Feedback
