May 5, 2024: India’s Lok Sabha Elections 2024, has sprung a huge surprise as the people did not give PM Narendra Modi’s slogan “Modi’s Guarantee” a majority thumbs up. In fact ,the electorate swung their votes to the INDIA alliance giving the opposition part led by Congress a glimmer of hope that they still have a future to exist and make their mark present in this vast nation.

While, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has emerged victorious in India’s parliamentary elections. However, the celebration is tempered by a drop in support, forcing Modi to seek coalition partners. Let’s delve into the implications of this election outcome. The BJP scored remarkable win in Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and made an entry into the state of Kerala. With Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP, Nitish Kumar in Bihar likely to play a pivotal role at the central government if NDA goes ahead and forms the government.

The Modi led NDA’s Triumph and Setback

In his address to the nation and BJP karya karta , Narendra Modi expressed: People have placed their faith in NDA, for a third consecutive time! This is a historical feat in India’s history. I bow to the Janata Janardan for this affection and assure them that we will continue the good work done in the last decade to keep fulfilling the aspirations of people. I also salute all our Karyakartas for their hard work. Words will never do justice to their exceptional efforts.

The NDA’s victory secures its position in India’s political landscape, but it comes with a twist. For the first time since 2014, Modi’s party failed to secure an outright majority. The reduced seat count necessitates collaboration with other parties, challenging the NDA’s traditional dominance.

Coalition Politics: A New Reality

Modi’s reliance on coalition partners signals a shift in Indian politics. While the NDA remains formidable, it must now navigate delicate negotiations and compromises. The dynamics of coalition governance will shape policy decisions and test the NDA’s unity.

Economic Ambitions Amid Challenges

Despite the electoral setback, Modi remains resolute. He vows to propel India’s economy to new heights, aiming for the coveted position of the world’s third-largest economy. Achieving this goal requires deft maneuvering within the coalition, balancing diverse interests.
