Meanwhile, during the final day of the first Test match in Kanpur, fast bowler Ishant Sharma dislocated his left little finger. As a result, he will miss the 2nd Test in Mumbai. His condition will be closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team.
Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder, sustained a right forearm injury during the first Test match at Kanpur. He was diagnosed with a swelling on his forearm after getting tests. He has been told to take it easy and will therefore miss the 2nd Test in Mumbai.
On the penultimate day of the first Test match in Kanpur, Ajinkya Rahane suffered a slight left hamstring injury while fielding. He has been ruled out of the 2nd Test in Mumbai because he has not fully recovered. The BCCI Medical staff will keep a close eye on his progress.
