Jeff Johnson, who starred in the Netflix docuseries “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness,” has died. He was 58.

According to latest news reports, authorities were called to Johnson’s residence after 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 for an attempted suicide, according to the police report.
Charity informed police that her husband killed himself in front of her in the garage during a heated disagreement. Media reports that their two children, ages 4 and 5, were present at the time of the incident.
Johnson was rushed to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The Tiger King family has had a rough few months. Erik Cowie, a zookeeper featured in the Netflix series, died on September 3 just days before Johnson. According to the New York Medical Examiner, acute and chronic alcohol addiction was the cause of Cowie’s death. He was 52 years old at the time.
