Undeterred by UP heatwave Calamity, CM Yogi Adityanath to unveil new projects in Ballia

    UP heatwave is affecting people and the loss of lives is mounting. Away from this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is embarking on inaugurating new development projects in Ballia district on Wednesday.

    The inauguration is taking place at a moment when the 68 deaths reported in Ballia District Hospital because of the last few days “Various reasons” between heatwave conditions in eastern Uttar Pradesh. A government spokesman said Adityanath would lay the foundation stone of 144 development projects worth Rs 3,638.25 crore in Ballia district on Wednesday.

    Government Officials, however, refuted that the deaths could be due to heatwave conditions, adding that most of the deceased were above the age of 60 and were suffering from various ailments “which could have been aggravated due to the heatwave”. . No deaths were confirmed as being related to heatwave conditions.

    A team of experts from the Union Ministry of Health, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the India Meteorological Department (IMD), and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) visited Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to support the two states in public health response measures.
