Inactive Twitter Account? Musk Has a Surprise for You Ready, Check it out
SHARE

Inactive Twitter Account Users who have kept their account dormant and not in use are in for a surprise in the Elon Musk regime. So, if for very long time you have not demonstrated any activity you will most certainly face the risk losing your account.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has stated that the social media platform may take action against those with dormant accounts.

Musk announced in a Tweet that Twitter will start releasing the name space of 1.5 billion accounts soon. Musk noted that these are evident account deletions with no tweets and no login for years in response to a follow-up question.

Twitter to discontinue “Moments” Function

Twitter has announced that it would discontinue its “Moments” function, which was first introduced in 2015 and allowed users to organise collections of tweets.

The platform’s current Moments will remain available, according to the business, but users won’t be able to add any new ones.

“Not all moments last. As of today we’re removing the option to create Moments for most users as we focus on improving other experiences,” the company posted.

“You can still see past Moments and follow Live events on Twitter,” it added.

What is Twitter Moments?

Out of hundreds of millions of Tweets a day, Moments surface the best of what’s happening on Twitter. Through Moments, millions of people can enjoy the power of Twitter—at the center of a protest, the front row at the Oscars, on the field at the World Cup, or from outer space. What you see on Twitter is what’s happening in the world.

Moments are created in multiple ways. Some Moments, such as those covering sporting events or TV shows, are created algorithmically to reflect the unfolding conversation while the event is happening. Others are prepared manually by our Curation team, following standards and guidelines that are explained in more detail below.

Moments highlight remarkable Tweets that are engaging, informative or unique. They should appeal to a broad audience and the content should be appropriate for all parts of the Twitter community.

Some Moments will reflect world and media events, while others will be based on unique “only on Twitter” content. We select Moments topics based on what people are discussing on Twitter. When curating around controversial topics, we look to demonstrably large conversations on Twitter and big news in the region’s mainstream press.

As part of Elon Musk’s dream to make Twitter a clutter-free experience, the company has also removed “tweeted from” labels for most users.

What is an inactive Twitter Account policy?

We encourage people to actively log in and use Twitter when they register an account. To keep your Inactive Twitter Account active, be sure to log in at least every 6 months. Inactive Twitter Accounts may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity.

How does Twitter determine inactivity?

Inactivity is based on logging in. Please note that you may not be able to tell whether an account is currently inactive, as not all signs of account activity are publicly visible.

What if a potentially inactive account is using my registered trademark as its username or account name?

If you believe your trademark rights are being infringed and the account seems inactive, please see Twitter’s trademark policy for additional information.

What if I have a request for a username from an account that looks inactive, but I don’t have a registered trademark?

We cannot release inactive usernames at this time. If a username you would like is being used by an account that seems inactive, you should consider selecting an available variation for your use on Twitter. In general, adding numbers, underscores, or abbreviations can help you come up with an available username.

So make sure your account and active and you do not face the consequence of having an Inactive Twitter Account from now on.
