In this fiscal year’s FY24 first half (April-September), Gujarat emerged as the frontrunner among Indian states in exports, showcasing an impressive performance by contributing a staggering ₹5,52,855 crore. This dominant figure solidifies Gujarat’s status as a key player in the nation’s export market, showcasing its economic prowess.

Following Gujarat, Maharashtra stood at the second position with exports totaling ₹2,72,492 crore, highlighting its robust industrial and trade infrastructure. Tamil Nadu secured the third spot with exports amounting to ₹1,71,462 crore, underscoring its consistent performance in the export sector.

India’s Exports FY24 : Southern States Impressive Performance

The southern states maintained a significant presence in the list, with Karnataka securing the fourth spot by contributing ₹1,04,428 crore to the export basket. Andhra Pradesh closely followed with ₹85,021 crore, showcasing its strength in trade and commerce.

Uttar Pradesh and Haryana displayed promising performances, contributing ₹83,260 crore and ₹67,258 crore, respectively, further diversifying India’s export landscape.

Surprisingly, Telangana showcased a notable rise in its export figures, reaching ₹49,120 crore, demonstrating its growing role in the country’s export-oriented industries.

Meanwhile, West Bengal, Odisha, and Rajasthan held their positions in the top exporters’ list, reflecting their consistent contributions to India’s trade activities.

Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Kerala, though appearing lower on the list, showcased commendable figures, underscoring their significant roles in the nation’s export economy.

Gujarat’s robust export profile centers around Petroleum Products, Diamonds, and Pharmaceuticals. This diverse range underscores the state’s multi-sectoral strength and its pivotal role in India’s export landscape.

Maharashtra:
Maharashtra, a significant contributor to India’s exports, focuses on Gems & Jewellery, Pharmaceuticals, Engineering Goods, Chemicals, and Textiles. Its varied export basket highlights its diverse industrial capabilities.

Tamil Nadu:
