One fine weekend our editor ended up reaching “Prakriti the Village” a perfect place to be on a weekend, on an invitation from the creator and curator of the weekend nature retreat Venu Dantuluri.
The drive to the retreat was absolutely breath taking as it was a beautiful rainy early morning day. It was a such a joyful green drive, a perfect breakaway from the stress of coronavirus and lockdown. The moment I drove into the The Village Prakruti, it was love at first sight.
Prakriti is a nature friendly gated community with few houses and more of vacant farm land, is a mixture of raw and polished, with fresh & leafy vegetables, ponds, bullock cart, trees around with red, yellow, blue flowers, hanging mangoes, jackfruit, guava, you name it and you have those here. A flawless blend of slow living of a farm home within a few minutes’ drive from hustle bustle Shankarpally’s noisy junction.
Prakriti the Village is a beautiful getaway in Hyderabad
These days more and more people are shifting to live in farm houses thanks to” work from home” culture that came along with the pandemic, helped us get closer to nature, breathing fresh air, and living that slow pace of life, and learning the new meaning of life. And some on weekends to unwind those week-long stress, to get closer to whispering nature, to just forget everything that was bothering the whole week to feel lighter and get rejuvenated along with a proud feel of reducing the carbon footprint.
When the 2nd wave left many people gasping for oxygen, we all learned it the hard way, Covid-19 has taught us to value our life, to get closer to those we thought were easily available. “Oxygen” was the word at least once we all uttered each day during the last few months, we all realised how important are those simple things that we ignored in our fast pace of life.
There are many farm houses in and around a 20 mins fun drive from Gachibowli in Hyderabad and towards Vikarabad. Thanks to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who was instrumental in the plantation of 210 crores saplings through the Haritha Haram programme, Telangana now brimming with green cover, seven years ago, Telangana wasn’t this green.
Talking to thenewsfacts.com Venu Dantuluri, founder of Prakriti, a farm lover, who has close to 100 acres of land in various parts of Telangana said, “Every drive to Prakriti near Cheemaldhari is a new experience, I thoroughly enjoyed each long drive to my farm near Shankarpally. The well laid roads, lush greens both sides will make every drive unforgettable, a feel of going to basics, and end up feeling so refreshed”
While I say, “Prakriti the Village ” is not very far from Hyderabad, I have to also mention it is close to Vikarabad and Ananthagiri Hills, that makes this place a seamless weekend getaway or for a weeklong stay. While we talk about Ananthagiri as its neighbouring hills, Prakriti as her own charm of tiny Hills surrounding her, which attracts the fitness freaks to check their fitness level by trekking to reach the top of the hill to check their stamina, that’s the favourite pastime of the people who visit us, adds Venu.
Prakriti the village – a perfect eco-retreat in Hyderabad
The inhouse cook in Prakriti is good at making some delicious food made of freshly plucked vegetables from their backyard, the fresh thick curd that has been set from the farm cow’s milk adds to the yummy list, the breeze that brings fresh leaf aroma of pudina, coriander, eucalyptus, the boiled peanut from farm, an excellent snack that goes with a perfect drink in the evening.
During nights the sounds of insects and the croaks frogs make it more beautiful, experiencing sleep under the dark sky, the smiling bright moon and those bright stars, It’s truly magical. You can get to feel the pulse of Mother Nature. It’s timeless. It’s worth a drive and stay at Prakriti.
