April 8, 2025: Vishal Dadlani, the celebrated Bollywood composer and singer, has announced his departure from the popular reality show Indian Idol after six successful seasons. The 51-year-old music legend took to Instagram to reveal that his time as a judge on the show has come to an end, marking a bittersweet farewell to the beloved series.

In a heartfelt video shared with his followers, Dadlani expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to be part of Indian Idol, noting that the show had become a second home for him. “Six seasons, countless memories, and so much love,” he wrote in his message. “It’s been an incredible ride, but it’s time to move on. I need to find balance in my life again and get back to creating music.”

Dadlani, who joined the show panel in 2018, has been a dynamic and engaging presence, offering expert advice to contestants while sharing his passion for music. Alongside fellow judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah, Dadlani’s quick wit and candid critiques made him a favorite among fans. However, in his post, the singer revealed that the demanding schedule of filming and constant travel had started to take a toll on him.

Despite the popularity and success of Indian Idol, Dadlani made it clear that his passion for creating music and performing live concerts outweighs the time-consuming nature of his role as a judge.

As he exits the the reality show stage, Vishal Dadlani remains focused on his future in music, promising his followers more exciting projects ahead.
