The admit card for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – GATE 2024 si being released by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore today, the organising institute for this year’s exam. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download their admit card from the official website: gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
GATE 2024 is scheduled to be held on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024 in two sessions: forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon (3:00 pm to 6:00 pm). The exam will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT) for 29 subjects. The exam will have 65 questions carrying 100 marks, with a mix of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), numerical answer type (NAT) questions and multiple-select questions (MSQs).
To download the admit card, candidates need to visit the official website and enter their enrollment ID or email address and password. After logging in, they can click on the link to download the admit card and take a printout of it. The admit card will have details such as the candidate’s name, registration number, exam date, time, venue, subject, photograph and signature.

Candidates are advised to check the details on the admit card carefully and report any discrepancy to the authorities as soon as possible. They are also required to carry a valid photo identity proof along with the admit card to the exam centre. They should follow the instructions given on the admit card and the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government.

GATE score can be used for admission and financial assistance for master’s and doctorate programmes. Some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE scores in their recruitment processes.
GATE 2024 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, architecture and other subjects at IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutes. It is also used for recruitment by various public sector undertakings (PSUs) and other organisations. The result of GATE 2024 is expected to be declared on March 17, 2024.
