Chennai Super Kings famed Cricketer MS Dhoni who will be seen in action in the IPL 2021, posted a video on its official website on the eve of Independence day that featured Colonel Vembu Shankar deliberating on an incident with MS Dhoni. The video commenced with Colonel Vembu Shankar mentioning MS Dhoni and the Indian army as inseparable.
The army personnel mentioned that MS Dhoni has high regard for the country and the Indian army.

In the clip, the army personnel confessed that MS Dhoni’s marching skills are of the highest, even better than his own even after serving 20 years in the armed forces. “On the day of the investiture, he had sent me a couple of messages to ask whether his uniform was as per protocol and questions regarding his turn out. And when I told him it is of the highest standards, I was even very surprised by his marching standards which were of the highest quality. In fact, I would confess it was much better than me who had about 20 years of training in the arm forces.”
The army veteran furthered that Dhoni has got great respect for the armed forces and he has displayed it on all occasions. “The latest CSK jersey has got the camouflage patch to pay respect to the armed forces. And the armed forces have great regard for MS Dhoni,” Colonel Vembu Shankar added.
The video culminated with Colonel Vembu Shankar mentioning MS Dhoni’s position- Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army of the Parachute Regiment in the Indian army.
