Sourav Ganguly to embark on a new mission to help people

Sourav Ganguly, the president of the BCCI, published a suspenseful tweet on Twitter, leaving everyone guessing about his next step.

Ganguly today said he was “planning to start something to help people” and he is on a new “chapter of his life” that many interpreted as politics.

“Today, I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope you continue your support as I enter this chapter of my life,” said Sourav .

Sourav Ganguly surprised his fans, through a tweet that read: “2022 marks the 30th year since the start of my journey with cricket in 1992. Since then, cricket has given me a lot. Most importantly, it has given me the support of all of you. I want to thank every single person who has been a part of the journey, supported me, and helped me reach where I am today. Today, I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope yu continue your support as I enter this chapter if my life.”

Sourav Ganguly was elected president of the BCCI in late 2019 and is still in office. There was no mention of his next move in his Twitter update, such as where he is going or whether he has resigned from the role.

Tweets started pouring in, hinting that BCCI president has resigned from the post of president. But it was outrightly denied by BCCI secretary Jay Shah

Sourav Ganguly has not resigned as the president of BCCI, ANI quoted Jay Shah in a tweet.

“We have some exciting times in the form of media rights coming up and my colleagues and I are completely focused on the upcoming opportunity and safeguarding the interest of Indian cricket,” Shah told PTI. It has also been reported that Ganguly’s tweet have have to something with his upcoming project. What that project is still not known.
