Cheteshwar Pujara is on a high. After playing a crucial role in India’s six-wicket victory against Australia in the second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Pujara received an autographed jersey from the entire Australian team, which was presented to him by captain Pat Cummins.

Cheteshwar Pujara also spoke about his role in the match, saying, “It’s been a great Test match, unfortunately I didn’t get any runs in the first innings, but I knew if I stay for the first 10 minutes I can score. A special feeling, was very nervous as my entire family was there. A special feeling to hit the winning boundary, looking forward to the remaining 2 Tests.”
India’s victory in the second Test helped them take a 2-0 lead in the ongoing series. Pujara’s unbeaten 31, along with valuable contributions from other batsmen like Srikar Bharat and Shreyas Iyer, helped India chase down the target of 117 runs in just 26.4 overs.
