IPL 2023: Yashasvi Jaiswal’s has thrilled the fans of RR with a blistering 98 not out, which helped his team to record nine-wicket victory over KKR.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 98 off 59 balls as Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by nine wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
Jaiswal, who was playing his first match of the season, struck 13 fours and five sixes in his knock. He shared an unbeaten 121-run stand for the second wicket with Sanju Samson (48 not out) as Rajasthan chased down Kolkata’s total of 150 with 41 balls to spare.
Kolkata’s bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Jaiswal and Samson. The duo took apart the Kolkata bowling attack, hitting them for boundaries and sixes at will.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s knock was the highest score by a Rajasthan batsman in the IPL. It was also the first time that a Rajasthan batsman had scored an unbeaten half-century in the IPL.
The win helped Rajasthan move to third place in the IPL points table. Kolkata, on the other hand, remain at the bottom of the table.
