In the first innings, New Zealand scored 224/7 in 20.0 overs with Finn Allen scoring 137(62) and Tim Seifert 31(23). Pakistan’s Haris Rauf took 2 wickets for 60 runs and Mohammad Wasim took 1 wicket for 35 runs.
In the second innings, Pakistan scored 179/7 in 20.0 overs with Babar Azam scoring 58(37) and Mohammad Nawaz 28(15). New Zealand’s Tim Southee took 2 wickets for 29 runs and Mitchell Santner took 1 wicket for 26 runs.
Allen shattered a 12-year-old record held by former captain Brendon McCullum to register the highest score by a Kiwi in T20Is. His century helped the BlackCaps post 224 for 7 in the first innings before the hosts restricted Pakistan to 179 for 7, winning the third T20I by 45 runs.
