Paris, July 27, 2024 — As the 2024 Paris Olympic continue to captivate the world, Google is marking today’s skateboarding events with a playful and unique Doodle. In honor of the men’s street skateboarding prelims and finals taking place at the iconic Place de La Concorde, the Google Doodle features animated chickens expertly skateboarding atop a house roof.
The skateboarding competition, part of the Games’ four new sports alongside breaking, surfing, and sports climbing, is drawing considerable attention. The men’s street preliminaries are scheduled for the afternoon, with the finals set for the evening, promising an action-packed day for enthusiasts.
The 2024 Summer Olympics, which officially began on July 26 and will run until August 11, marks the 33rd edition of this global sporting event. Athletes from over 200 countries are competing in 329 events across 32 sports disciplines in the French capital.
