TN 12th Result 2023 is out with 94.03% students pass, and science stream outperforming other streams. The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TN DGE) has announced the results of the Class 12th or Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams today, May 8. Students who appeared for the exam can check their results on tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in, and dge.tn.gov.in.
According to the TN DGE, a total of 8,03,385 students appeared for the exam, of which 7.5 lakh students passed, leading to an overall pass percentage of 94.03%. Girls have outperformed boys once again, with a pass percentage of 96.38%, while the pass percentage of boys is 91.45%. The number of students registered for the exam this year was 8.51 lakh, with 5.36 lakh students from the Science stream, more than 2.54 lakh students from the Commerce stream, and around 14,000 students from the Arts stream.
To check their results, students need to log in to the official websites and enter their roll number and date of birth. Students from the Namakkal district will be proud to know that a transgender student who appeared for the HSC exam this year cleared it with flying colors. The district secured a 96.64% pass percentage.
The Union Territory of Puducherry, which is also under the TN state board, recorded a passing percentage of 93.45%, with 91.27% boys and 95.43% girls passing.
In the TN Plus two results 2023, students from Virudhu Nagar district performed the best with a pass percentage of 97.85%. Tirupur, Ariyalur, Coimbtore, and Tuticorin were the other districts that made it to the top 5 best-performing districts.
The Science stream students have outperformed other streams with a pass percentage of 96.32%, while the Commerce and Arts stream students recorded a pass percentage of 91.63% and 81.89%, respectively.
