The 34-year-old Australian wicketkeeper-batsman had a tough IPL 2022 before ultimately scoring a cautious 35 (from 30 deliveries) as the Titans beat Rajasthan Royals’ total in Qualifier 1 to qualify for the final.
IPL 2022 has been frustrating for me – Matthew Wade
Wade admitted he was frustrated until he hit a terrific 35 in Qualifier 1 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
“Personally, I’ve had a disappointing tournament; I’ve been hitting the ball well, especially since returning to the squad. It just hasn’t clicked for me, I’ve been finding ways to get out a little bit, but I’ve played enough T20 to know that happens for periods of time, but you just have to stay brave and keep swinging the bat like you know you can swing it “Wade spoke to cricket.com.au ahead of the IPL 2022 final, which takes place on Sunday in Melbourne.
