Adipurush Prabhas has unveiled his new poster, the most anticipated film of him on his birthday. The 42 year old Prabhas looks impressive, and stands mighty like the Lord Ram, with flowy long hair, wearing a saffron vest and a white dhoti, and leading his army amidst a bright illuminated sky.
Prabhas sharing his joy with fans wrote on his instagram, “Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shree Ram. #Adipurush releases IN THEATRES on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D!” The poster has received mixed reactions too, as one fan wrote, “U r good sir …..but I m disappointed with looks of character….” Many others have just wished him a happy birthday and not commented on the poster at all.

In the Om Raut-produced film Adipurush, Kriti Sanon plays Sita, Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh, and Sunny Singh plays Lakshman. A while back, a teaser was released, and the VFX in it attracted criticism. While the majority mocked the VFX, some insisted that it wasn’t a likeness of Lord Ram. Narottam Mishra, the home minister for Madhya Pradesh, accused the filmmakers of “wrongly” portraying Hindu deities in the teaser months before the movie’s debut.
Filmmaker Om Raut says “I was disheartened for sure, not surprised because the film is made for a larger medium—the big screen. You can cut it down to some extent but can’t bring it down to a mobile phone. That’s an environment I can’t control. Given a choice, I’d never put it on YouTube but that’s the need of the hour. We need to put it there so that it reaches a wide audience.”
Prabhas’ Adipurush is the most anticipated film, ever since the actor haven’t delivered a big hit since the Baahubali craze and has had multiple flops, including the most recent Radhey Shyam, which received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. On January 12, 2023, Adipurush will be available.
