August 11, 2026: Bengaluru-based medical technology startup Ayati Devices has raised Rs 15 crore ($1.5 million) in a Pre-Series A round led by Inflexor Ventures.

The company plans to use the funding to accelerate commercialisation, expand across Indian and international markets, strengthen manufacturing, and step up investments in research and artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2019 by Nishant Kathpal, Ayati Devices is building portable, point-of-care diagnostic technologies for diabetic foot complications and peripheral vascular disease.

Ayati Devices bets on portable diagnostics to expand diabetic foot screening

The startup, incubated at IIT Bombay’s Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), has developed a portfolio that covers several stages of diabetic foot assessment:

• Vibrasense measures vibration perception threshold to screen for large-fibre peripheral neuropathy.
• Vibrasense+T adds warm and cold perception testing.
• Vasosense is designed for peripheral artery disease screening.
• Angiocam provides real-time tissue perfusion imaging.
• PODIA Trolley uses a pay-per-test model aimed at lowering the upfront cost for healthcare providers.

Together, the platform addresses neuropathy, blood flow, microcirculation and plantar pressure , areas that can be critical in identifying diabetic foot complications before they progress.

Ayati says its technology has been deployed across 30 countries, with more than 10,000 devices deployed and over 1 million screenings enabled through its solutions.

Its flagship Vibrasense has also undergone clinical evaluation. In one study involving 562 people with type 2 diabetes, vibration perception threshold testing using Vibrasense was compared with conventional biothesiometry and nerve conduction studies for screening diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

The larger opportunity here is not simply building another diagnostic device. It is making specialised screening more accessible at the point of care , particularly in settings where patients may not have easy access to tertiary hospitals.

The new capital gives Ayati Devices room to push that model further, both in India and overseas.
