Leeds Test currently underway, England Cricket Team lead by Anderson took the lead over India as their openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed ended Day 1 with an outstanding performance after India were bowled out for 78 runs in the first innings in the third Leeds Test at Headingley.
The English batsmen duo took the score past India’s 78 runs with all 10 wickets intact.
Hameed and Burns scored their individual fifties with England placed at 120/0 after 42 overs at Stumps. Earlier, England pacers enjoyed a successful day, claiming all 10 wickets.

Craig Overton and Sam Curran claimed two wickets in two deliveries on separate occasions to jolt India after Lunch. England found themselves in the driver’s seat when Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah fell in quick succession.
It all started with pacer Ollie Robinson getting the all-important wicket of Rishabh Pant straight after Lunch which opened the flood gates. Indian Cricket Team endured a terrible start as they lost the key wickets of KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, skipper Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane in the first session of the match after opting to bat against.
