Latest Afghanistan Air Strikes kills 29 Militants

    In the latest air strike carried out in Afghanistan, a total of 29 militants have been confirmed dead. The fighter planes struck Taliban fighters’ gathering in Tepa area of Afghanistan’s northern Jawzjan province on Monday, the Defense Ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday.

    According to the ministry Three key Taliban commanders were among those killed in the air raids along the road linking Jawzjan to the neighboring Sari Pul province, the statement said.

    A large quantity of arms and ammunitions of the militants were also destroyed in the airstrikes, the statement added.

    Taliban militants have yet to comment on the incident. The militant group has overrun more than a dozen districts in Jawzjan and the neighboring Faryab, Balkh and Sari Pul provinces over the past two month

    The ministry further said terrorists were killed, 119 wounded & 4 others were arrested as a result of #ANDSF operations in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Jowzjan, Helmand, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar, Kapisa & Kabul provinces during the last 24 hours. &13 IEDs were defused
