Reactions poured in from many of the listeners who heard Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet and Google, talking in a BBC Televised interview about internet freedom, future innovation, taxes and his own personal tech habits.
Reacting to the tweet one of the followers said Good discussion! What struck me most was you Sundar, were, and are curious about technology, and it’s relevance today, and in the future. Your point about Indian parents making huge sacrifices for us their children to get the best education possible is true for many.
Where exactly did he warn about threats to free internet? Because I didn’t hear anything like that… one of the listener wrote on youtube.
The biggest irony to this argument is, with googles ongoing unregulated censorship, Google is actually the biggest threat to an open and free Internet
Google Chief Sundar Pichai mentioned that people have historically worried about technology but it is essential for the new generation to adapt to it and also set their own boundaries. Here are 10 things he said.
Pichai further stated that the “free and open internet is under attack” in countries around the world. Many countries are restricting the flow of information and “the model is often taken for granted.” Without referring to China directly he said, “none of our major products and services are available in China.”
Another listener of the interview said AI could be best friend or worst nightmare of human race. May his quantum computer be helpful.and dose not become a hypothetical devil.
Another one wrote Oh the hypocrisy. Doesn’t he not know that he’s CEO of a company that censors the free and open internet?? Youtube is a censored cesspool FFS.
