January 16, 2026: India celebrated National Startup Day 2026 with renewed enthusiasm, honouring the innovators, founders, and young visionaries who continue to shape one of the world’s fastest‑growing entrepreneurial ecosystems. What began as a symbolic recognition has now evolved into a nationwide movement celebrating creativity, risk‑taking, and problem‑solving.

Across major metros and emerging startup hubs, events, panel discussions, and showcases highlighted India’s remarkable progress in sectors like AI, clean energy, agritech, fintech, and healthtech. A strong focus this year was placed on youth‑driven entrepreneurship, reflecting the surge of first‑time founders emerging from universities and tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities.

Government leaders, investors, and ecosystem enablers reiterated their commitment to strengthening access to funding, mentorship, and global opportunities. The day also spotlighted startups that made significant strides in 2025, from deep‑tech breakthroughs to impactful grassroots innovations.
