Widely known journalist Vinod Dua, 67, passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment in a Delhi hospital’s intensive care unit.
Mallika Dua, his daughter, took to social media and wrote: “Vinod Dua, our irreverent, courageous, and remarkable father, has died.
She added, for more than 42 years, he rose from the refugee camps of Delhi to the pinnacle of journalistic achievement, always, always speaking truth to power. He is now in heaven with our mother and his beloved wife Chinna, where they will continue to sing, cook, travel, and annoy each other.”
Vinod Dua had a stellar journalism career
Vinod Dua acquired Covid-19 earlier this year and was admitted to the hospital as his health worsened.
Vinod Dua, a trailblazer in Indian television journalism, spent the majority of his career with Doordarshan and NDTV, as well as doing programmes on other TV stations and online platforms.
