In market disruptive move Jio Phone Next 2021 will enter the market with an insane price of $50 ( around Rs. 500.00), giving millions of smartphones users access to an affordable smartphone. Jio Phone Next 2021 is touted as the world’s cheapest smartphone to be launched by Reliance. The world’s low-cost handphone will start selling a week from now.

How to get hold of Jio Phone Next?

  • Reliance Jio has partnered with banks and NBFCs for Jio Phone Next for EMI options
  • Customers will be able to pay Rs 500 or Rs 700 as the initial payment
  • The pricing of the Jio Phone Next has also been revealed

Reliance Jio has partnered with five banks for financing the sales of its Jio Phone Next, as per reports.

The Jio Phone Next 2021 has been co-developed with search engine giant Google. The affordable 4G smartphone was announced at the company’s 44th AGM in June this year.

The telecom major is reportedly aiming to sell up to 5 crore units of the Jio Phone Next in the next six months.

Under the initiative, interested customers will have to pay 10 percent of the smartphone’s cost upfront while the rest will be financed by the banks. The report also reveals the pricing and variants of the upcoming smartphone.

If Mukesh Ambani’s JioPhone Next, an Android device custom-built for India by Alphabet Inc.’s Google, is a hit in the price-conscious market, it will solve one problem for banks while posing another.

With the country’s remaining 300 million feature-phone users going online, there will be a surge of customer data that can stand in for collateral.

Aside, the phone will run a unique version of Android that has been designed to work seamlessly on phones with extremely low-specced phones. JioPhone Next will come with features that will be tailor-made for the phone. These features include customized Google Assistant, Chrome Go, Camera Go and Duo Go. The camera app on the phone will also be customized and will come with in-built Snapchat filters.

Reports hint that the JioPhone Next could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset coupled with a 2,500mAh battery. The smartphone could also come with a 5.5-inch display, along with a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie shooter.
