One of the highlights of the tour was Minister KTR’s invitation to deliver the inaugural address at the American Society of Civil Engineers – World Environmental & Water Resources Congress in Henderson, Nevada. The minister took this opportunity to present the world’s largest lift irrigation project, the Kaleshwaram Project, and the flagship program, Mission Bhagiratha, which provides safe piped drinking water to every home in Telangana.
As part of the tour, Minister KTR held crucial business meetings with companies in various cities across five states to attract investments. These meetings along with his core team that include Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary , ITES and Commerce have yielded several significant announcements, resulting in the creation of thousands of new jobs in Telangana.
One such announcement came from Mondee Holdings, Inc, a NASDAQ-listed B2B2C travel marketplace and technology innovation company. Mondee Holdings has committed to setting up a Technology Centre of Excellence in Telangana, which is expected to employ approximately 2,000 people. This move will further strengthen Telangana’s position as a leading destination for technology companies.
Another major investment comes from VXI Global Solutions, a leading provider of customer experience solutions. The company, owned by Bain Capital, has decided to establish a center in Hyderabad, creating a staggering 10,000 job opportunities. This development signifies the confidence that VXI Global Solutions has in Telangana’s skilled workforce and business-friendly environment.
Telangana’s BFSI sector is also set to receive a boost with AlliantGroup’s decision to add 9,000 new jobs in the sector. The consulting and financial services powerhouse recognizes Hyderabad’s potential and the talent pool available in the city.
In addition, TechnipFMC, a French American oil and gas giant, has chosen Hyderabad as a key hub for their software Global Delivery Center and Precision Engineering Manufacturing Facility. This move will generate 2,500 jobs in engineering and 1,000 jobs in the manufacturing facility, showcasing the city’s capabilities and potential in the oil and gas sector.
GeneSys, a science-based biopharmaceutical company, plans to invest an additional $50-60 million in setting up a new large-scale recombinant bulk manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. This investment will lead to the creation of approximately 300 jobs, contributing to the growth of the biopharmaceutical industry in the state.
ZapCom Group Inc, a US-based Product Engineering and Solutions company, has chosen Hyderabad to establish a Center of Excellence specializing in AI and NLP-driven products. This venture is expected to provide employment to 1,500 individuals initially and aims to expand further within a year.
Warner Bros. Discovery, a premier global media and entertainment company, is set to launch its incredible Innovation and Design Center (IDC) in Hyderabad. This new center will employ 1,200 individuals in its first year alone, contributing to the city’s reputation as a hub of creativity and innovation.
