The fan, identified as Karthik, transformed the Arulmigu Sri Rajini Temple into a visual celebration of Rajinikanth’s cinematic journey, placing thousands of pictures from his films across decades. The tribute, performed on Thursday, also included abhishekam (ritual bathing) of the 300-kg idol inside the temple, highlighting the reverence with which fans regard the actor.
Rajinikanth made his debut in 1975 with Apoorva Raagangal, directed by K. Balachander. Today, at 74, the actor remains a central figure in Indian cinema, commanding a multigenerational fan base and regularly headlining major productions.
