Ponniyin Selvan I — Kaveri Se Milne and in other languages Ponni Nidhi launch was a spectacular event held on Sunday. During the launch of the single, a sneak preview of some unseen scenes from the film was shown to the audience in the lyrical video that accompanied it.
Actors Jayam Ravi, Jayaram and Karthi who play the important roles in Ponniyin Selvan attended the event in front of a packed audience. Though, the ace film maker Mani Ratnam was not there at the event, the song resonated with the audience in a big manner.
The composition and Mani and composer AR Rahman‘s reunion, who won praise for the song, were, nevertheless, the subjects of more attention from the fans.
AR Rahman single for PS1 ( Ponniyin Selvan) is a tribute to the Kaveri river, and he, Swagat Rathod, and Pooja Tiwari lend their vocals for the song. Mehboob is the author of the Hindi lyrics. Ponni Nadhi is the name of the song in Tamil. Ilango Krishnan wrote the lyrics, and Rahman, AR Raihanah, and Bamba Bakya sang it.
