TATA IPL 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has just released the schedule for the 16th season of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) set to take place in 2023. After the last edition was staged across Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad, the upcoming season will see a return to the home and away format. All the teams will play seven home games and seven away games, respectively during the league stage.
The TATA IPL 2023 league will run for 52 days and will consist of 70 matches that will be played across 12 venues. The event will kick off on March 31, 2023, with a clash between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world.
TATA IPL 2023: The action begins on April 1
On April 1, 2023, the first double-header day of the season, fans can look forward to watching Punjab Kings square off against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali, while Lucknow Super Giants will take on Delhi Capitals in Lucknow. The TATA IPL 2023 will have 18 double-headers, with day games starting at 3:30 PM IST and evening games starting at 07:30 PM IST.
Rajasthan Royals will play their first two home games in Guwahati before moving on to Jaipur for the remainder of their home games. Punjab Kings, on the other hand, will play their first five home matches in Mohali and their last two home matches in Dharamshala against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals respectively.
