According to a report in the Indian Express, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are eager to re-enter T20 cricket, eyeing the T20 World Cup scheduled for next year. Their absence since the 2022 T20 World Cup, where they last appeared in a T20 international, has allowed emerging talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, and Ishan Kishan to shine in the format.
