The Smart Retina check-up initiative is based on the New Optos Imaging System that reproduces a 200° single-capture optomap® retinal image with unrivalled clarity in less than a second. This fast, easy, patient-friendly, ultra-widefield (UWF) 2-minute imaging technology is designed for healthy eye screening, detecting deep-rooted retinal problems, staging of diabetic retinopathy, and high blood pressure changes in the retina, peripheral retinal degenerations, and uveitis.

The new advanced Neoretina Smart Retina Check-up is a walk-in eye screening initiative and very convenient for patients of all age groups and will facilitate improved practice flow and patient engagement. A recent study found a 28-minute (33%) reduction in patient waiting time after implementing centralized optomap imaging.
