China's Foxconn's factory unrest may lead to serious shortage of iPhone's

Foxconn’s factory in Zhengzhou, China, is experiencing employee unrest that could lead to a serious supply shortage. This is one of the few factories making iPhone Pro models for markets outside of the United States.

The phones have been in short supply ever since their launch in early this year. Bloomberg estimates that the unrest has resulted in a backlog of 6 million Apple iPhone Pro units this year. This could potentially lead to delivery delays or stock shortages.

The iPhone 14 Pro (256GB) is expected to arrive in India in four weeks. The wait time could be longer for outlying tier-3 and tier-4 cities. According to the assessment, the situation is unstable and further adjustments to the time and volume estimates could be made. Foxconn employees harms’ company property in China

The high demand for iPhones during the holiday season in Western and European nations is presently being met by Apple, which has slowed down iPhone production. The maker of the iPhone may be able to accomplish its main objectives with the lower volumes.

Last week, numerous protests were held by Foxconn employees at their Zhengzhou location. Employees harmed the company’s property, including some surveillance cameras. The discontent was brought on by issues such as late payments and onerous covid restrictions.

Foxconn acknowledged the payment issue and attributed it to a “technical error.” They announced that they had a solution. However, it was claimed that the organisation had lost nearly 20,000 workers as of the very next day. The smaller staff may also be to blame for the lower output volume.
