Over the Christmas holiday, Winter Storm has engulfed the western New York. The storm called the “blizzard of the century.” According to reports, more than 50 people have already died as a result of the hurricane, including the disruption of 1500 flights. The storm continue to disrupt normal life.

As a winter storm brought freezing temperatures and crippling snowfall totals across the US, dozens of Americans lost their lives. Officials in the Buffalo region expect the astonishing death toll will keep rising there as teams continue their search-and-rescue operations.

The storm’s death toll increased to 49 throughout the country on Monday, with 27 of those deaths occurring in Erie County, New York, where some regions received more than 40 inches of snow.

Wolf Blitzer of CNN was informed by Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia that “unfortunately, they are still recovering bodies.”

Local officials reportedly said on Monday that rescue efforts were still going on as work to clear the snow-covered terrain near Buffalo was being done. The National Weather Service stated that there was 49.2 inches of snow at Buffalo Niagara International Airport at 10 a.m. on Monday (1.25 metres).

As reported in the media, officials have stated that the airport will be closed until Wednesday morning. Due to the recent severe storm, fierce winds, and subfreezing temperatures, more than 15,000 flights across the United States had to be cancelled.

Many people’s Christmas eves have been ruined by the storm, which has brought temperatures across the US far below freezing. The US winter storm pummelling areas, bringing with it hurricane-force winds and total darkness. This holiday weekend’s storm caused disruptions to all modes of transportation, including trains, aircraft, and automobiles, blocking hundreds of kilometres of roads and forcing cancellations of flights.

According to media reports in the US, as of Saturday morning, there had been a total of approximately 4,000 domestic, international, and international aircraft delays. Flight tracking website FlightAware also reported that there had been a total of roughly 2,000 domestic flight cancellations. Numerous locations from Pennsylvania to Georgia were expected to see their coldest Christmas Eve on record due to the precipitous drop in temperature.
