June 3, 2024: World Environment Day 2024, is celebrated world over on June 5th, , isn’t just about planting a symbolic tree (although that’s not a bad thing!). This year, the theme is “Land Restoration: From Desertification to Transformation,” and it’s a call to action that’s more relevant than ever.

Think about it: desertification, drought, and land degradation are hitting us hard. Dust storms are on the rise, fertile lands are turning barren, and extreme weather events are becoming more common. But here’s the good news: we can fight back. This World Environment Day, it’s time to get our hands dirty and become part of #GenerationRestoration.

Here’s why you should care

Food Security: Our lands are the foundation of our food systems. Degraded land means less food, pushing up prices and threatening food security for millions.

Climate Change: Healthy land acts as a giant carbon sink, absorbing greenhouse gasses. Restoring degraded land helps fight climate change, naturally.
