‘Animal’ will begin streaming on Netflix on 26th January, the day India celebrates its 75th republic day. The Ranbir Kapoor film hit theaters in December 2023, and garnered wide appreciatiation and raked in good earnings at the box office.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal has a runtime of 3.5 hour that chronicles the intriguing bonding between a father, Balbir, and son, Ranvijay, wherein the latter seeks revenge after there is an assassination attempt made on the former
The movie features Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri, the mlovie was appreciated by the audience for its thrilling narrative and stellar performances.
The OTT release will once again offer audiences with the opportunity to either revisit the thrilling movie or enjoy in it for the first time.
Animal Garnered Strong Criticism from critics for its narrative
Aside the republic day celebration in this the long weekend, movie lovers can entertain themselves to an action-packed film binge. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The Instagram post by the platform read, “The air is dense and the temperature is rising. Witness his wild rage in Animal, streaming from January 26 on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.”
Animal had created ripples from the fact that many felt that it projected toxic masculinity and misogyny. Rather than portraying these aspects critically, many thought that the action movie’s violent plot glamorized these aspects, and made those problematic traits out to be desirable qualities of the heroes. As a result, Animal holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of only 31% among critics.
