October 13, 2025: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 is on a box office rampage. In just 11 days, the film has crossed ₹439 crore in domestic earnings, eclipsing major films like Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Baahubali: The Beginning, and even Jailer.
The film had a stellar ₹337.4 crore opening week and continued its impressive run with ₹22.25 crore on Day 9, followed by an explosive ₹39 crore on both Day 10 and Day 11. The Hindi belt has proven to be a major contributor, with ₹14.25 crore of that haul coming from the region. The film’s success has been unmatched, especially with Karan Johar’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari failing to impress at the box office, struggling to break ₹50 crore.
