Spotify has unveiled its much-anticipated Spotify Wrapped 2021 experience, which reveals the most popular artists and albums for the first half of 2021.
Starting 2021, the UI is getting much more social media-friendly, allowing you to share your favourite music with a personalised movie, aura, or deck of cards. Anyone can, share Spotify’s automatically generated photographs on your timeline and, for the first time, directly to TikTok. It’ll undoubtedly stir conversations among friends and offer Spotify with lucrative promotion that competitors like Apple and YouTube can’t seem to match.
Spotify Wrapped 2021 is here, but it’s only available in the Spotify app
You’ll need to launch the Spotify mobile app to get all of the interactive elements; they’re not available on the desktop or online versions. If you’re using an iPhone or Android smartphone, simply click this link to go to the appropriate page within the app. Try refreshing the app if you haven’t seen it yet.
If you don’t already have Spotify Wrapped 2021or aren’t aware of it, these are some of the new features that will be available in 2021 to encourage sharing.
The Movie option lets you choose songs for your biopic that are prepared for the opening credits, a moment of introspection, a dance-off, or the big game.
Spotify users can also have their audio aura visualised depending on their top two music moods.
Playing Cards, a data-based game that you can play and share with your pals, was also released by Spotify. Players can identify which of two claims regarding another user’s listening history is a lie in the form of two truths and a lie.
Wrapped is also being used by Spotify to enhance its blend tool, which was launched earlier this year and allows users to mix their Spotify Wrapped and post the results on social media. Spotify’s 2021 Wrapped hub is also accessible, which contains personalised and editorially curated material and playlists.
Wrapped cards can be shared directly to Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, in addition to TikTok.
