At Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were earlier spotted jubilantly celebrating the victory on the stairway leading up to the dressing room. When Hardik Pandya was playing, they were both excitedly watching the game’s final over.
Hardik just stretched out his bat to sneak the ball through short third man for the match-winning boundary as India needed four points off the final two balls. Both Kohli and Sharma erupted into a raucous celebration as soon as Hardik sealed the victory. Daniel Sams, who had just been hammered for a big six in the previous ball, had the final laugh as Kohli made his way back to the pavilion during the second ball of the 20th over.
