Monday, July 6, 2026: Noida: German automation company Festo has opened its first Automation Experience Centre (FEC) in Noida, giving manufacturers a place to see, test and understand factory automation before investing in it.
The new facility comes as manufacturers across North India increasingly adopt automation to improve productivity, reduce downtime and make factories more efficient.
Unlike a conventional showroom, the centre recreates real manufacturing scenarios. Factory owners, engineers and machine builders can experience live demonstrations of robotics, electric automation, pneumatics, motion control, digital engineering and Industry 4.0 technologies while discussing their production challenges with Festo’s experts.
The idea is simple: instead of choosing automation equipment from a catalogue, companies can see how it works in practice.
Festo Brings Smart Manufacturing Experience to Noida

For example, an automotive supplier can explore how automated handling systems improve assembly lines, a food processing company can evaluate faster and more hygienic packaging solutions, while electronics manufacturers can understand how precision motion control improves product quality. The centre also demonstrates how connected machines can monitor performance in real time, helping manufacturers predict equipment failures before they happen and reduce costly production stoppages.
“The opening of the FEC in Noida reflects our commitment to staying close to our customers and supporting their transformation towards smarter and more sustainable manufacturing,” said Frank Notz, Member of the Management Board, Sales, Festo SE.
The launch coincides with Festo India’s 40th anniversary, reflecting the company’s continued focus on India’s expanding manufacturing sector.
According to Ravi Sastry, Managing Director of Festo India, the Experience Centre has been created to help industries improve competitiveness through practical automation solutions rather than simply introducing new technologies.
The facility will also support OEMs, system integrators, startups, engineering students and academic institutions looking to understand the latest industrial technologies.
Beyond automation, the centre houses Festo Didactic, the company’s technical education division, which will conduct training programmes, workshops and skill development sessions to prepare engineers and technicians for increasingly automated factories.
India’s manufacturing sector is entering a period of rapid transformation. According to the Economic Survey 2026, manufacturing contributes around 16-17% of the country’s GDP and employs more than 27 million people. As India aims to increase manufacturing’s share of GDP to 25% by 2047, demand for automation technologies and a skilled industrial workforce is expected to grow significantly.
With the Noida Experience Centre, Festo is positioning itself not just as an automation supplier, but as a partner that helps manufacturers understand where automation can deliver measurable business value before they commit to large investments.
