Death Stranding Director’s Cut has made its debut on the App Store, embracing the realms of iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The surreal odyssey, developed by Kojima Productions, takes center stage on the A17 Pro-powered iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as on iPads and macOS devices equipped with the M1 chip or later.
Originally a PlayStation exclusive in 2019, the game expanded its horizons to PC before gracing Apple platforms, as revealed at the WWDC event in June the previous year.
Ensuring a seamless experience, Death Stranding on iPhone, iPad, and Mac operates natively on Apple Silicon, employing MetalFX Upscaling for an unparalleled visual spectacle, as highlighted in a Tuesday blog post by 505 Games, the team entrusted with the Apple device adaptation.
For a limited time, enthusiasts can embark on this gripping journey with a 50 percent discount, valid until February 20, at Rs. 1,999. The Director’s Cut also adopts a universal purchase approach, allowing users to make a one-time acquisition and enjoy the game across other compatible Apple devices.

Death Stranding on iOS comes equipped with high frame rate mode, a captivating photo mode, and exclusive cross-over content from Valve’s Half-Life series and CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. To dive into this adventure, Apple users must sign in to iCloud and activate iCloudDrive. The game mandates iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS 13.3 or later, occupying approximately 77GB of storage space.
The release marks another stride in Apple’s mission to bring top-tier gaming experiences to its devices, following the recent arrival of Resident Evil 4 on iPhone 15 Pro and compatible iPad and Mac models. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also set to join the Apple gaming roster in 2024.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut, originally launched on the PS5 with enhanced graphics, performance, and new gameplay elements in late 2021, immerses players in the shoes of Sam Porter Bridges (portrayed by Norman Reedus). The gripping narrative unfolds as Sam, a deliveryman, navigates a post-apocalyptic United States, striving to reconnect society’s scattered remnants dwelling in bunkers.
